This looks like a design that Pfeiffer would use later on the Doc Savage "the Crimson Serpent". I like this cover because it shows the style that Fred would develop and refine through the rest of his career.
Yes, it IS very representative of his style. I think if I was going to send out a group of people to search paperback book shops for as yet undiscovered Pfeiffer covers, I would use this piece as the one for the group to study beforehand. That's how strongly characteristic it is of his style.
