He really did a very detailed cover.

This Pocket book from August 1969 was a very exciting find. First, this early style was nothing like the mid 70s Pfeiffer style.

Second, I discovered a red Pfeiffer signature along the left edge of the spine.

Third, it was the oldest Pfeiffer cover I had discovered at the time and a new publisher with Pocket.

This book expanded the search for covers in style, age, and another publisher. Very satisfying!
