This is a great piece of art. I'm very impressed with it, especially the perfectly balanced lighting, not an easy thing to achieve when you're using sharp contrasts between the light and dark areas of your painting.
Here, thanks to the nobility of the setting, Fred is able to successfully invest the character with an aura of power without having to show the figure in action. It's a well planned design and most effective.
