Done on illustration board and quite small, a work up for
a cover we have not found yet. Courtney will be able to
detail the acquisition of this... the first of several mini
masterpieces of original Pfeiffer art.

I got in contact with Jerry Counihan from NYC. Jerry worked in the Bantam art department under Len Leone, and he also became the Fawcett Art Director in the 1980's. Jerry knew Fred Pfeiffer very well. He has told me several stories about him.
"Gerald T." has also provided several Pfeiffer items to me, including 8 thumbnail paintings that Fred did for him while Jerry was at Fawcett. Jerry told me two years ago that he had some Pfeiffer sketches and he would send them to me when he found them. Well, last Friday, November 12th, a package came in the mail. This held 8 various size mini thumbnail paintings. What a treasure! This is one of them. Thanks Gerald T! You are the best!
