Courtney now has added this splendid
gouache illustration by the wonderful
Fred Pfeiffer to his collection. Along
with the companion piece Advise and Consent
Courtney has some great art hanging on his walls.
Knowing that Fred discarded many, painted over a few
and some were lost due to poor storage.
You have to question just how many original
Pfeiffers are out there. We know where two are
and they are in the home of someone who has
a great love for Fred's talent and art and a person who
is a staunch supporter of his career and memory.

Scotty-
You don't have to be jealous. You are welcome to fly across country and come view them in person anytime you like!
I was very happy with the way this piece framed out. It has an acid free mat and museum quality glass. The lady at Michael's suggested the black mat (matching up to the girl's hair) and to use dual mats. I suggested that the mat be cut short to show the white underneath and that a double mat would not be needed.
It looks sweet. The black really makes the reds and oranges "pop".
Nice job Fred. It is a shame that the art was featured so very small on the original paperback.
I am very proud and excited to own two original Pfeiffer pieces.
This was a post auction buy at Heritage.
I consigned it to them.
I do have the "STUDD" painting for sale at $500.00
