Fred Pfeiffer : Woman of Property - 1968

by Mabel Seeley
An early Pfeiffer here.
Fred's fabric is one of the
first things that pops out at you.
He really had his own way of
doing clothing.

She looks like what they call a
"High Maintenance Woman".
Maybe that's what caused the
lonely nights with a bottle.

This is the earliest Pfeiffer cover that I have found to date.

A nice surprise when I saw it at the Bent Cover store in Phoenix last year (2010.

I remember my Aunt Millie (Fred's mother) giving me a copy of this book. It's another one of those cover illustrations that made me believe so strongly that Fred would've made a truly great portrait painter, especially if he had specialized in full length portraits.
