using some gray, burnt umber and raw sienna with a
little orange I mixed up as well. worked on the hand and
fingers a little spreading some paint. I use Gamblin Oil paints.
Did a quick coat of Naples yellow on Doc. I have always found
it that paint likes to go on paint. I wanted something to
contrast with the other color I would use on him. Used some of
the oranges that I mixed to spot on him kind of carelessly. I will
worry about detail later. Still though some attention to the muscles
and build of the arm.

One of the many rewards you get from commissioning a painting from Scotty is the update pictures he sends out throughout the process.
It is fascinating to see the steps of the completion of a painting. And one can truly see the complexities involved.
