Fred Pfeiffer : Mandala - 1971

by Pearl S. Buck, continuing the series with the
Buck covers. This is another detailed illustration
that for some reason the Art Director thought would look
good as small as they could get it.

Maybe they should have had Fred do a
detailed design of Bucks name to use on the
books. Then they could have blown it up
to take up the whole cover.

This is the second book found in the Buck Pocket Books series that has the small illustration. Hopefully there are more to find.

I got this book in a June 2011 trip to Modesto, CA.

Actually, I need to correct my statement. This book was found on the same trip, but in a Berkely, CA used bookstore on Telegraph Street. What a great street.
