No Scotty, that doesn't look like Fred, but I have seen many covers here on the blog where I could tell he used his own image in a mirror as the model for one of his cover characters.
I love the color scheme for this picture. It's still another example of how Fred excelled at making his pictures colorful, yet without choosing colors that clash. I am totally amazed at how he could consistently select colors that harmonize so well.
If I ever try painting again myself, the first thing I'll do is carefully make notes on which specific colors Fred was in the habit of juxtaposing.
